ELECTION DAY
Tues. November 3
Nearly 30 Years of Legal & Judicial Experience
Fellow North Texans,
Most of us, hopefully, will rarely if ever have to go through the kinds of protracted legal struggles that may ultimately lead to the appellate court level. I live and breathe the law and the justice system, so I am very familiar with the both the trial courts and appellate courts, but I know most of you may not be. Still, these courts are critical, and you, the voters, ultimately decide who sits on the bench. I am grateful that you have taken the step of researching me and my qualifications.
I have worked for many years as a judge, first at the municipal level, and since being elected in 2014, at the trial court level as Presiding Judge of the 44th Civil District Court, which has jurisdiction in Dallas County. It has been my great honor and privilege to be a judge, because I am dedicated to allowing litigants their day in court, I am passionate about the law, and I cherish our American justice system, which is the finest in the world.
Now I want to take my nearly 30 years of accumulated skills, knowledge and strong sense of fairness to the next level, as a Justice of the 5th District Court of Appeals. If you appeal a family, civil or criminal case and you live in North Texas, it is very likely your case will end up before the 5th District Court of Appeals. This court has jurisdiction in Dallas, Collin, Grayson, Hunt, Rockwall and Kaufman counties, and if you live in one of these counties, I will be on your 2020 ballot.
Please take the time to learn more about me. I hope to earn your support and your vote in the 2020 election cycle.
Sincerely,
Judge Bonnie Goldstein
Democrat for 5th District Court of Appeals, Place 3
